Tony Gilham has taken the wraps off his livery for his debut season in the BTCC, with his Vectra sporting a colour scheme of pink and green. The livery resembles that which the former Porsche Carrera Cup GB star raced last season – and includes a number of the same sponsors including Regal Autosport and Morgan Forbes.
Gilham, who finished 9th in last year’s Porsche Carrera Cup GB, is graduating to the BTCC this season in a Triple Eight NGTC-powered Vauxhall Vectra.
Perhaps most significant about today’s annoucement is the competition that Triple Eight and Gilham plan to run throughout the course of the 2011 season. As part of his deal with Triple Eight at the end of the season Tony will own the car – and he plans to give it away to one very luck fan through a raffle.
Full details of the competition, to be run through Tony’s website www.tonygilham.com will be announced at the BTCC media day on Thursday.
