Italian driver Michela Cerruti will take the wheel of a fourth SEAT León for Target Competition in the TCR International Series at the Red Bull Ring, whilst regular driver Michel Nykjær will be absent from the grid.
Cerruti becomes the second female racer to take part in the TCR Series, after Lucile Cypriano who made her début in Valencia.
The Italian’s racing experience spans many disciplines, with the Rome-born driver having won races in AutoGP single seaters between 2013 and 2014, the now defunct Superstars International Series between 2010 and 2011, the German VLN Endurance Series and the Italian GT Championship.
The 28-year-old has also participated in the first four events of the inaugural FIA Formula E Championship.
Whilst Target will also field a SEAT for Gabriele Marotta in Austria, it means that regular driver Nykjær will not be present on the grid for the first time this season.
