The Honda Civic’s and SEAT Leán’s will gain an additional 30 kg and 10 kg of compensation weight respectively for the Hungarian round of the World Touring Car Championship.
The revised compensation weights are based upon lap times and, although SEAT drivers managed just three top ten finishes during the weekend in Slovakia, the lap times by their drivers have resulted in an increase of 10 kg for the next event. Both SEAT and Honda had been running at their base weight around the Slovakiaring.
The 30 kg of increase for Honda should come as little surprise, with the WTCC’s current form manufacturer enjoying their second consecutive pole position and 1-2-3 result in race one.
BMW and LADA remain 20 kg below their base weight due to lap time differences of 1.2 and 1.7 seconds from the fastest car respectively, whilst the 2012 champions Chevrolet continue to be the heaviest cars on the grid at +40 kg.
